Welcome to Fortson’s Taxidermy
and Studio, located in the Heart of Central Texas,
just a few minutes from Waco, Texas.
I’m Rob
Fortson, owner/taxidermist of Fortson’s Taxidermy.
Although this is my first year open to the public,
I’ve been preparing for this my whole life. I was
born in Tanzania, Africa and raised in East Texas.
I’ve been in the woods and on the lakes since before
I could walk. Bottom line, I love huntin' and
fishin'!
I’ve spent the
last 6 months learning the art of taxidermy under 4
award- winning taxidermists from Godfrey Taxidermy in
East Texas. I’m confident that the one-on-one
teaching I’ve received has prepared me to produce a
trophy mount that you would be proud to hang on your
wall!
In most cases,
the entire tanning and mounting process is done in
my shop. I use nothing but the best materials and
equipment. I’ll treat your trophy as if it were
mine. My goal is to build a reputation for top
quality, honest and dependable taxidermy with
customer service and satisfaction second to none.
